Default Day Trips

I took two tours when I was in Melbourne, each sponsored by the hostel I was staying in. Usually I don't like tours, but these were good. The group was small, only six people one day, seven the next. Both went out along the coast toward Adelaide. There is so much variety that it kept the tours from seeming repetitive, and the stops were long enough to enjoy each place.

Because the tours were designed for backpackers, who have no money, there were no annoying shopping stops. We saw wildlife - fairy penguins, kangaroos, koalas, and the world's longest earthworms - scenery - what was left of the 12 Apostles - and still had time for leisurey lunch breaks
